I was 2-6 on playoff predictions heading into last week. I called both games correctly, improving to 4-6 for the playoffs. Let's see if I can go out on a streak.
New Orleans vs. Indianapolis (-6) 56 1/2
Peyton Manning wins his 2nd title. Give the points and take the over.

Cribbs'/Browns Negotiations Looking Up
The Canton Repository reports Josh Cribbs' agent, J.R. Rickert, was positive toward the two sides making a deal after an initial meeting with Browns' Executive Vice President, Bryan Wiedmeyer. A contract in the $2.5 million/year range for Cribbs is likely where this thing is headed. Earlier this month, former Browns' team representative, Dawn Aponte was involved in the early stages of negotiations with Cribbs and his agents. Her perceived "take it or leave it" low-ball offer of $1.4 million/year set off Cribbs and his agents, causing them to go on a mini-media tour, Twitter and all. Aponte is no longer with the team.

Jets Planning to Tender Edwards
The New York Jets, according to the Gang Green folks, are reportedly planning to tender Braylon Edwards in March, when he becomes a restricted free agent. If another team signs him, they have to surrender their 1st and 3rd round pick in this year's draft to the Jets. Edwards was due to become an unrestricted free agent this year, but the assumed coming "uncapped" season raises the years of service required for UFA eligibility from four to six. Braylon Edwards is reportedly excited and has said he would like to finish his career with the Jets.
I'll go out on a limb here, Joe Namath style, and guarantee no other team even thinks about signing him. He is flat out the most under achieving player in the league.

Championship Game Predictions
I'm 2-6 so far in the playoffs, so these picks might not be correct.
New York Jets at Indianapolis Colts (-7 1/2) O/U 39 Jan 24, 2010 3:00 CBS
The Jets' Cinderella run comes to end and the Colts score enough to cover the over on their own. Give the points and take the over.
Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints (-3 1/2) O/U 53 Jan 24, 2010 6:40 FOX
The Vikings defense comes up big at the end in a high-scoring game. Take the points and the over.

Divisional Playoff Games ' Odds and Predictions
I went 1-3 last week. Let's see if I can do worse this week.
Arizona at New Orleans (-7) O/U 57
Arizona is getting hot when it matters. I think the Cardinals will win a very high-scoring game. Take the 7 points and the over.
Baltimore at Indianapolis (-6 1/2) O/U 44
After watching the Ravens dismantle the Patriots last week, it would be hard to be against them, if they weren't playing the best team in the AFC. Give the points and take the over.
Dallas at Minnesota (-2 1/2) 46
The game is going to be the 2nd biggest story to come out of this one. The biggest story is going to be "Will He or Won't He" as in retire, when the Cowboys eliminate Favre and the Vikings in a high-scoring game. Take the points and the over.
New York Jets at San Diego (-7 1/2) 42
The Jets defense has been awesome lately, and their offense has done enough to win. Not this week though. The Chargers' offensive weapons prove to be too much for the Jets. Give the points and take the under.
